Description
Using this kit you can install a Scotts Steering damper on your Yamaha Tenere 700 using BRP's solid mounts. An alternative to this kit is TripleClamp Moto's own Scotts damper mount kit for Tenere 700
To install kit you must completely remove the top triple clamp. When re-installing the top triple clamp, take with the top steering bearing, making sure you have the correct torque set. Failure to do so will damage the top bearing and cause highway wobble among other issues.
Options

The Mount-Kit-Only includes everything except the stabilizer and link arm. This mounting kit includes a new SUB mount/Bar mount assembly(ready for stock oversize bars), Nickel plated frame bracket, shortened steering bearing shroud, tower pin, instructions and all necessary hardware. This application requires the stabilizer to be mounted in the reversed position but uses a standard link-arm. This kit will keep the bars at the stock height.
The bar mounts are reversible to achieve 2 different mounting positions. Pos 1 emulates the stock location and pos 2 is 10mm forward of stock, both of which are normally desirable on this bike. This is a significant improvement to the stability of this big Adventure bike. -
The Mounting Kit and Damper This complete kit includes, everything in the mount-kit plus a stabilizer. This kit will keep the bars at the stock height.

An alternative to this kit is TripleClamp Moto's own Scotts damper mount kit for Tenere 700 Here are the differences:

BRP's kit requires removal of the top triple clamp. TripleClamp Moto's kit does not need that for installation because it's pin holder is made of two halves that can be installed without touching the top triple.

TripleClamp Moto's kit re-uses the stock handle bar clamps, BRP's kit replaces those.

Both kits keep the handle bar pretty much at the same position as stock and allow slightly more forward offset an an option by flipping the handle bar supports.

TripleClamp Moto's kit has a 9.5mm (5/16") diameter hardened stainless pin with an aluminum bushing for extra support. The pin is inserted into a brace bushing in the collar clamp. BRP's pin is 4.8mm (3/16") diameter hardened stainless steel and is supported by a ~25mm (2") tall steel pin holder welded to the collar.

BRP's kit comes in black. TripleClamp Moto's kit comes in Black and Blue.

Both kits facilitate installation of a Scotts damper(stabilizer) with standard stepped arm.
